Hardware Limited Warranty
Effective date: July 1, 2026 Warrantor: Revivo Project Inc., dba Iron Lock — 1303 E Warner Avenue, Santa Ana, CA 92705, USA — info@shopironlock.com
> This is a LIMITED WARRANTY, not a full warranty.
This document is the Iron Lock Hardware Limited Warranty referenced in the Iron Lock Terms of Service. It applies to the physical Iron Lock smart safe / lock box hardware. It is written to comply with the federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. §§ 2301–2312) and the FTC's Disclosure Rule (16 C.F.R. Part 701). It is provided for transparency and is not legal advice.
1. Who is covered (parties to whom this warranty is extended)
This Limited Warranty is extended only to the original end-user purchaser who bought a new, genuine Iron Lock product from Iron Lock or an authorized reseller, for personal, family, or household use, and who retains proof of purchase. This warranty is not transferable to any subsequent owner and does not apply to products purchased used, from an unauthorized seller, or as a display, refurbished (unless sold by us as refurbished), or "as-is" unit.
Authorized sales channels. This Limited Warranty applies only to genuine Iron Lock products purchased new from an authorized channel: (a) our website, shopironlock.com; (b) Amazon.com listings sold by Revivo Project Inc. (Iron Lock) as the seller of record; and (c) Walmart.com listings sold by us. Products bought from any other seller — including third-party or marketplace resellers, unauthorized listings, or used or refurbished units not sold by us as refurbished — are not covered; please contact that seller. If you are unsure whether your seller was authorized, contact info@shopironlock.com before purchase or before making a claim.
2. What is covered
Iron Lock warrants that, under normal use and service, the Iron Lock hardware — the safe body, locking mechanism, keypad, and fingerprint sensor module (if equipped) — will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the applicable warranty period stated in Section 4. (Included mechanical keys, bundled accessories, and batteries are not warranted — see Sections 3 and 4.)
If a covered defect appears during the warranty period and you notify us as described in Section 6, Iron Lock will, at its option and as your exclusive remedy, either (a) repair the product using new or refurbished parts, (b) replace the product with the same or a comparable product (which may be new or refurbished), or (c) refund the purchase price you paid, upon return of the product. A replacement or repaired product is covered for the remainder of the original warranty period or 90 days from redelivery, whichever is longer.
Discontinued products and parts. If the product, or a component needed to repair it, has been discontinued or is otherwise no longer manufactured or reasonably available when you make a covered claim, Iron Lock may, at its sole discretion, satisfy this warranty by supplying a repaired or replacement product of similar function and comparable or greater value (which may be a current model).
3. What is NOT covered (exclusions)
This Limited Warranty does not cover, and Iron Lock is not responsible for:
- The mobile app, cloud, or software Services. Those are provided separately under the Iron Lock Terms of Service and are not part of this hardware warranty. Software and firmware are licensed "as is" and are addressed in the Terms.
- Consumable and normal-wear items, including batteries, and cosmetic wear such as scratches, dents, or finish fading that does not affect function.
- Damage from abuse, misuse, accident, drops, mishandling, vandalism, or attempted forced entry, break-in, drilling, or tampering (including by a locksmith or any third party).
- Damage from improper installation, mounting, or wiring; failure to follow the product, setup, or safety instructions; or use outside the product's rated environment (for example, water/moisture exposure beyond the product's rating, extreme temperature, fire, flood, or corrosion).
- Damage from unauthorized repair, service, disassembly, or modification, or use of non-Iron Lock parts, accessories, or replacement keys.
- Problems caused by dead, wrong-type, leaking, or improperly installed batteries, power surges, or lightning.
- Products with a removed, altered, or illegible serial number, or that are not genuine Iron Lock products.
- Lockouts, lost codes, or lost keys. Forgetting your PIN, losing your mechanical key, or being unable to access the safe due to depleted batteries or connectivity is not a hardware defect. (For help with a lockout, contact us at info@shopironlock.com.)
- Any loss of, or damage to, items stored inside the safe, and any theft, loss, or consequential loss — see Sections 8 and 9. Iron Lock is not an insurer. This product is designed to deter and reduce risk; no lock or safe is infallible or can guarantee against forced entry, theft, or unauthorized access.
4. Warranty period (duration)
The warranty period begins on the date the product is delivered to you following your original retail purchase (or, if a delivery date is not shown or cannot be established, the date of purchase shown on your proof of purchase) and runs for:
- Limited lifetime on the safe body, locking mechanism, keypad, and fingerprint sensor module — "lifetime" means for as long as the original purchaser owns the product; it does not mean the lifetime of the purchaser, and it ends if the product is sold, given away, or otherwise transferred (this warranty is non-transferable, see Section 2).
- Included mechanical keys and any bundled accessories are not warranted.
- Batteries are not warranted (see Section 3).
If no proof of purchase is available, coverage will be assessed from the date of manufacture shown by the product's serial number, and Iron Lock may require other reasonable proof that you are the original purchaser.
5. What you must do; expenses you may bear
To keep this warranty in effect, you must use, install, and maintain the product according to Iron Lock's instructions, use fresh batteries of the specified type, and keep your proof of purchase. This is a limited warranty, so you may be responsible for certain expenses: you pay the cost of shipping the product to us for warranty service, and for safely packaging it. If your claim is found valid, Iron Lock will pay for the covered repair or replacement, will pay for return shipping of the repaired or replacement unit within the United States, and will reimburse your reasonable outbound shipping cost. If we determine on inspection that the returned product is not covered (for example, it falls under a Section 3 exclusion or the problem is not a covered defect), you are responsible for all shipping costs in both directions, and we will return the product to you or hold it for your instructions. Before returning anything, contact us for authorization (Section 6); products returned without authorization may be refused.
6. How to obtain warranty service (step-by-step)
To obtain performance under this Limited Warranty:
- Contact us first. Email info@shopironlock.com with the subject line "Warranty Claim," or write to Revivo Project Inc., dba Iron Lock, 1303 E Warner Avenue, Santa Ana, CA 92705, USA.
- Include: your name, the address and email on your order, the product model, the serial number, a copy of your proof of purchase (dated sales receipt), and a description of the problem (photos or a short video help).
- Wait for a Return Authorization. We will review your claim and, if service is authorized, send you a Return Authorization and instructions. Do not ship the product before you receive authorization.
- Ship the product as instructed, in adequate packaging, at your expense — reimbursed if your claim is found valid (Section 5). Remove all stored contents first.
- We will repair, replace, or refund the product per Section 2 and return it to you at our expense within the United States, generally within 30 days of our receiving it, subject to parts availability, and we will reimburse your reasonable outbound shipping cost for a valid claim. If our inspection shows the returned product is not covered (for example, a Section 3 exclusion applies), you are responsible for all shipping costs in both directions, and we will return the product to you or hold it for your instructions (Section 5).
7. Informal dispute settlement
Iron Lock has not established a separate informal dispute settlement mechanism (an "IDSM") under 16 C.F.R. Part 703 as a prerequisite to legal action. If you are not satisfied with our handling of a warranty claim, please first contact us at info@shopironlock.com so we can try to resolve it. Nothing in this Section limits your rights under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. Dispute-resolution and arbitration terms that apply to the app and Services are set out separately in the Iron Lock Terms of Service; your statutory warranty rights as a consumer are not waived by those Terms.
8. Limitations on implied warranties
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES — INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE — ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THIS WRITTEN LIMITED WARRANTY (Section 4). Iron Lock does not disclaim implied warranties entirely, because federal law does not permit a warrantor that gives a written warranty to disclaim implied warranties.
> Some States do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
9. Exclusion of incidental and consequential damages
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IRON LOCK'S LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO REPAIR, REPLACEMENT, OR REFUND AS DESCRIBED ABOVE, AND IRON LOCK IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF OR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY OR ITEMS STORED IN THE SAFE, LOSS OF USE, LOST TIME, OR COSTS OF SUBSTITUTE PRODUCTS OR SERVICES, ARISING FROM ANY DEFECT IN OR FAILURE OF THE PRODUCT.
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IRON LOCK'S TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THIS WARRANTY OR THE PRODUCT WILL NOT EXCEED THE PRICE THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER ACTUALLY PAID FOR THE PRODUCT.
> Some States do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
Nothing in this warranty excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or gross negligence.
10. Your legal rights
> This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from State to State.
11. No other warranties; who is bound
This document is the entire hardware warranty for the product and supersedes any other statement about the hardware. No dealer, reseller, agent, or employee is authorized to make any modification, extension, or addition to this warranty on Iron Lock's behalf. Any oral or written representation that conflicts with this warranty is not binding on Iron Lock.

<!-- IMPLEMENTATION / PUBLISHING NOTES (remove before publishing, or keep as an internal comment):
- HOSTING: ✅ DONE 2026-07-01 — published as web/warranty.html on Firebase Hosting, served at https://iron-lock-app.web.app/warranty (clean-path rewrite in firebase.json; live after
firebase deploy --only hosting). TERMS_OF_SERVICE.md §8 and §13 point at that URL. The old Shopify page at https://shopironlock.com/pages/warranty still carries the OLD store copy and is no longer referenced by the Terms.
- PRE-SALE AVAILABILITY (16 CFR 702): For consumer products sold in stores/online, the warranty text (or, online, the ability to read it before purchase) must be made available to the buyer BEFORE sale. On the product listing / product page, either display the full warranty or provide a clearly labeled, working "Warranty" link to it. Amazon and Shopify product pages should link here.
- ANTI-TYING (Magnuson-Moss): Do NOT condition warranty coverage on the use of Iron Lock-branded batteries, keys, or accessories unless those are provided free of charge or the FTC has granted a waiver. The exclusions in §3 target damage CAUSED by non-genuine/incorrect parts (permissible), not mere use of another brand. Keep it that way.
- DESIGNATION: The title is labeled "LIMITED WARRANTY" prominently at the top, as required — do not remove that.
- DURATIONS — OWNER CONFIRMED July 1, 2026: LIMITED LIFETIME (body/lock/keypad/fingerprint module; original purchaser, non-transferable); keys/accessories NOT warranted (no replacement-key program); batteries NOT warranted. Note: with a lifetime written warranty the implied-warranty duration limit in §7 is effectively lifetime too for the main unit — fine. Verify Amazon/marketing copy says "limited lifetime warranty" to match.
- LAWYER SKIM (one-time): Confirm the chosen durations, the "original purchaser only / non-transferable" limit, and that state-law consumer-warranty overlays (e.g., California Song-Beverly for CA buyers) are acceptable as-is for a US-only physical security product. This draft is Magnuson-Moss/16 CFR 701-structured.
